Vendor Policy
This Vendor Policy governs all sellers, suppliers, and service providers (“Vendors”) who list products or services on the Furnostyles Marketplace. By registering as a Vendor, you agree to comply with this policy in full.
1. Vendor Eligibility & Registration
To become a verified Furnostyles Vendor you must:
- Be a legally registered business or individual trader operating in Kenya (or internationally for import/export listings).
- Provide a valid business name, contact details, and proof of identity or business registration.
- Complete the Furnostyles vendor verification process including a portfolio or product/service review.
- Agree to these Vendor Policy terms and the Terms of Service.
2. Listing Standards
All listings on the Furnostyles Marketplace must meet the following standards:
- Accuracy: Product/service descriptions, images, pricing, and availability must be accurate and not misleading.
- Images: High-quality, original images of the actual product or service are required. Stock images may only be used for materials and consumables.
- Pricing: Prices must be clearly stated in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and include all applicable fees.
- Availability: Listings must reflect real-time stock or service availability. Inactive listings must be paused promptly.
- Categories: Items must be listed in the correct category. Miscategorised listings will be removed.
The following are prohibited listings:
- Counterfeit, stolen, or illegally obtained goods.
- Hazardous materials without proper safety documentation.
- Items prohibited under Kenyan law.
- Duplicate listings for the same product.
- Digital goods or downloads (unless pre-approved by Furnostyles).
3. Order Fulfilment Obligations
- Vendors must fulfil all confirmed orders within the stated processing and delivery timelines.
- Any delay exceeding 2 business days beyond the stated timeline must be communicated to the buyer and Furnostyles immediately.
- Orders may not be cancelled by a Vendor after confirmation without prior written approval from Furnostyles. Repeated cancellations will result in suspension.
- Vendors must pack products securely to prevent damage in transit.
4. Customer Service Standards
- Respond to all customer enquiries within 24 hours on business days.
- Handle complaints professionally and attempt resolution before escalating to Furnostyles.
- Honour all confirmed returns eligible under the Return Policy.
- Honour all warranty claims covered under the Warranty Policy.
- Maintain a minimum average rating of 3.5/5 stars to remain listed.
5. Fees & Payments

Vendor payouts are processed weekly for confirmed, delivered, and accepted orders. Disputed orders are held until resolution.
6. Vendor Conduct
Vendors must not:
- Contact buyers outside the Platform to circumvent Furnostyles fees or protections.
- Solicit or post fake reviews.
- Engage in price fixing or anti-competitive behaviour.
- Share buyer personal data with third parties.
- Make claims about Furnostyles endorsement beyond what is explicitly authorised.
7. Account Suspension & Termination
Furnostyles may suspend or permanently terminate a Vendor account for:
- Repeated failure to fulfil orders on time.
- Consistently poor customer ratings (below 3.0/5).
- Verified fraud, misrepresentation, or policy violations.
- Failure to comply with Buyer Protection resolutions.
- Breach of these Vendor Policy terms.
Suspended vendors may appeal within 14 days by emailing furnostyles@gmail.com with supporting evidence.
